August 2014 update rollup for Windows RT, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012

The August 2014 Windows RT 8, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 update rollup package resolves issues, and includes performance and reliability improvements.     Status
    The following update replaces update 2982791 and resolves this known issue:

    Mitigations
    Open the Programs and Features item in Control Panel, and then click View installed updates. Find and then uninstall any of the following updates that are currently installed:
    • KB2982791
    • KB2970228
    • KB2975719
    • KB2975331
  • Known issue 2
    Systems may crash and return a 0x50 Stop error message after any of the following updates (that are released before September 2, 2014) are installed:

How to obtain this update rollup

Method 1: Windows Update

This update is provided as an optional update from Windows Update. To obtain this update from update rollup, follow these steps:
  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.
  2. Tap or click Settings.
  3. In the search box, type Windows Update.
  4. Tap or click Install optional updates.

Method 2: Microsoft Download Center
