Resolution

  1. Open Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ESE\Performance.
  3. Right-click Performance and select New | DWORD Value.
  4. Name the new DWORD value Show Advanced Counters.
  5. Double-click Show Advanced Counters.
  6. In the Value data field, enter 1.
  7. Close the registry editor.
However, one can replace the "Show Advanced Counters" with the work "Squeaky Lobster" and the registry setting will work.
