Introduction

As of January 31, 2013, organizations that are still using the 32-bit version of the Microsoft Online Services Directory Synchronization tool cannot sync their on-premises Active Directory domain to Microsoft cloud services such as Office 365,�Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft Intune.�

If you have the 32-bit version of the Microsoft Online Services Directory Synchronization tool, upgrade to the 64-bit version of the Azure Active Directory Sync tool (previously known as the Microsoft Online Services Directory Synchronization tool).

As of January 1, 2013, Technical Support cannot provide support for the Directory Sync tool until you upgrade to the 64-bit version of the tool.�
