In Outlook, you set AutoArchive on an individual folder by right-clicking the
folder, by selecting
Properties, and by clicking the
AutoArchive tab. When you do this, the
settings are saved in an IPC (hidden) message within the folder in
the information store. The settings are not configurable in the registry.
You can change the client registry to modify the
AutoArchive file name in the profile. However, if the user has multiple
profiles, you must know which profile to modify, or you must modify all the profiles.
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
