Description of the March 2008 Special DST update release of Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3

This article describes the March 2008 special DST update release for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3).

Microsoft has learned of a possible change to the observance of daylight saving time (DST) in Iraq that could affect customers who use the "(GMT +03:00) Baghdad" time zone. (This time zone is also known as the Arabic time zone.) We have unofficial reports that the Ministry of Iraq has decided that the country will no longer switch to DST as it has in prior years. This hotfix updates the "(GMT +03:00) Baghdad" time zone to use the new time zone information beginning in April 2008.

Note CDO 1.2.1 and MAPI COD 1.2.1 releases from December 2007 already contain the necessary information to comply with this change. Therefore, no additional update is required.
