Symptoms

When you send an e-mail message to a Microsoft Outlook personal distribution list, you receive a non-delivery report (NDR) that includes all the distribution list members. The NDR appears similar to the following message but with one entry per member of your personal distribution list:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

	Subject: Original_Message_Subject
	Sent: 25/08/03 5:30 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
	Recipient_Address on 25/08/03 5:30 PM
The format of the e-mail address is incorrect.
Check the address, look up the recipient in the
Address Book, or contact the recipient directly
to find out the correct address.

Cause

This problem occurs when your personal distribution list contains an invalid e-mail address that either contains one or more spaces after the at sign (@) or contains no domain name after the at sign (@). If an e-mail address in the personal distribution list contains spaces or no domain name after the at sign, the e-mail address causes the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server transport to generate an NDR that includes all the recipients, including valid recipients of the e-mail message.
