* If you are working with a linear problem, the maximum number of constraints you can use is unlimited. If you are working with a nonlinear problem, the maximum number of constraints you can use is 500.

To determine whether a solver problem is linear or nonlinear, click Options in the Solver dialog box. If the Assume Linear Model check box is selected, the problem is linear.
