When you print a Web page that contains an ActiveX control
(for example, a Macromedia Flash animation), the control may be printed
incorrectly. For example, the control may seem to be printed with a lower
resolution than the control uses on the screen.

Internet Explorer versions 5.5 and later generate an
Enhanced Metafile (EMF) snapshot of ActiveX controls, and then send the EMF
snapshot to the printer. The EMF snapshot is not printed correctly on computers
that run Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millennium Edition (Me).

in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Millennium
Edition.

The EMF images that are created by Internet Explorer 5.5
and later versions are printed correctly on Microsoft Windows 2000-based and
Microsoft Windows XP-based computers. Note that versions of Internet Explorer
before version 5.5 start ActiveX controls and rely on the controls to create
their own printable images. Therefore, an ActiveX control may be printed
correctly or not at all in versions of Internet Explorer before version 5.5 on
any operating system.
