Incorrect number alignment in right-to-left worksheets with wrap text alignment

Symptoms

When you attempt to right-align or left-align a cell, Microsoft Excel applies the opposite alignment of the one you selected.

Cause

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • The View current sheet right-to-left option is selected.

    To locate this option, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the International tab.
  • The cell contains a number.
  • The cell is formatted with Wrap text formatting.

    To locate this option, click Cells on the Format menu and then click the Alignment tab.
