Introduction

The Microsoft Online Services Diagnostics and Logging (MOSDAL) Package collects information to troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 issues. The Support Diagnostics Platform (SDP) diagnostic tool uses this diagnostics package to collect relevant log files, registry keys, client networking configuration information, event logs, and details about files that are used by Office 365 technical support.

The following tables describe the information that may be collected from a computer that connects to services in Office 365. This includes client computers that are running applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Lync. This also includes on-premises servers that are running tools such as the Windows Azure Active Directory Sync Tool or Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) 2.0.

Note The output file names that contain the prefix %computername% are followed by the name of the item for which their output was generated.
