Transaction Import requests that are submitted to Application Server create batches in the current company and not the company specified in the request

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You open Control Macro Generator (98.510.00) and create a control macro for GL Journal Transactions (01.010.00).
  • You create a data file that has journal entries for company A.
  • You log on to company B and open Transaction Import (98.500.00).
  • You enter the control and data files and select Submit to Application Server from the Actions menu.

When you do this, you notice the journal transaction batch is created for company B, not company A as it should have been based on the data that is entered in the data file.
