Excel Web query table marker icons do not appear on Web pages within framesets

Symptoms

You create or edit a Web query in Microsoft Excel, and then browse to an HTML page that uses a frameset. When you do this, the table marker icons in the Web query dialog box may not appear on pages in that frameset.

Workaround

To work around this problem, hide and then unhide the icons. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In the Web query dialog box, browse to the Web page that contains the table that you want to query.
  2. Click Hide Icons two times.
The page now displays the marker icons.
