Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011.

  • You access the Region and Language item in Control Panel and then set Current location to Germany.
  • You open Project Analyzer (IQ.PAS.00) in Microsoft Dynamics SL.
  • You click the Grid to Excel Download button on the toolbar.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

PC Message Number 0037

An error occurred attempting to call Excel. Make sure you have keyed in a valid existing file name and sheet names. Old format or invalid type library. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80028018 (TYPE_E_INVDATAREAD))

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL
