Symptoms

When Using ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) and AppendChunk, Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle truncates data that is being inserted into LONGRAW and LONG datatypes. Approximately 40K inserts into a LONGRAW field, while about 64K inserts into a LONG field.

Resolution

The only workaround is to use OLE DB Provider for ODBC and the Microsoft Oracle ODBC driver instead of OLE DB Provider for Oracle.
