When you apply a pattern, diagonal border, or rotated text
to a cell, the formatting is not displayed when viewed in a Web browser.

This problem is not browser-specific. HTML does not have
the ability to display these formatting features.

This behavior occurs when you do the following:
� | In
Excel 2003 and earlier versions, you
click Save as Web Page on the File menu. If you then click Save to save an HTML file, or you click Publish twice to publish it as a Web page, you will see the problem when
you view the saved or published page in a Web browser.
In
Excel 2007, you click the Microsoft Office Button, click Save
As, and then select Web Page in the Save as type
list. If you click Save to save an HTML file or
if you click Publish two times, you will
see the problem when you view the saved or published page in a Web browser. |
� | In
Excel 2003 and earlier versions, you preview a file as
a Web page in Excel by clicking Web Page Preview on the File menu.
In
Excel 2007, you preview a file as a Web page by clicking Web
Page Preview on the Quick Access Toolbar.
Note To add Web Page Preview to the Quick Access
Toolbar, do the following: 1. | Click the Microsoft Office Button. | 2. | Click Excel
Options. | 3. | Click the Customize category. | 4. | Select
All Commands in the Choose commands from
list. | 5. | Select Web Page Preview, and then click
OK. |
