To install multiple-language support in Windows:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click the Windows Setup tab.
  4. Click to select the Multilanguage Support check box.
  5. Click OK.
To enable support for a specific language after you follow the previous steps:
  1. In Control Panel, double-click Keyboard.
  2. On the Language tab, click Add.
  3. Click the language that you want to use, and then click OK.
  4. Click OK.

Notes

  • Multiple-language support is included in the CD-ROM version of Windows 95 and Windows 98, but not in the floppy disk version. If you are using the floppy disk version of Windows 95 or Windows 98 and you want to enable multiple-language support, view the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for information about the availability of multiple-language support:

  • Multiple-language support that was originally included supports the Bulgarian, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, and Slovenian languages. The Lang.exe file that is included in the CD-ROM Extras for Windows 95 Upgrade provides additional support for the Albanian, Belarusian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Ukrainian, and Turkish languages.
