The Msftesql.exe process continues using memory on an Exchange Server 2007 server

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

The Msftesql.exe process continues using memory on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server. Therefore, other processes on the server, especially the Store.exe process, trim their working sets to make room for the Msftesql.exe process. However, when the Store.exe process trims its working set, remote procedure call (RPC) becomes unresponsive. Additionally, this results in client access issues.

Note When this problem occurs, the values that appear in the working set and in Virtual Bytes for the Msftesql.exe process in Performance Monitor stay high or increases.
