The values of total items that are returned by running the "Export-ActiveSyncLog" cmdlet on an Exchange Server 2007 server are incorrect

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You run the Export-ActiveSyncLog cmdlet in Exchange Management Shell on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server. This cmdlet parses the Internet Information Services (IIS) logs and then returns information about Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync usage. The return information includes "Items Sent" and "Items Received" for users. The values of "Items Sent" and "Items Received" should include emails, calendar, contacts and tasks. However, you find the following two issues:
  • "Items Sent" does not equal to "Total Emails Sent" + "Total Calendar Sent" + "Total Contacts Sent" + "Total Tasks Sent"
  • "Items Received" does not equal to "Total Emails Received" + "Total Calendar Received" + "Total Contacts Received" + "Total Tasks Received"
