Symptoms

Consider the following sceneario:

  • A display name of a user�in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment contains Hebrew characters and English characters.
  • You apply Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or a later version on an Exchange Server 2007 server.
  • The user sends a message, and then the recipient tries to reply to this message.
In this scenario, the display name or the address of this user is displayed in garbage characters. Therefore, the reply message is not sent successfully.

Cause

This issue occurs because the display name is broken into multiple parts during the encoding process in the scenario that is described in the �Symptoms� section.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
