The separators that are displayed in chart labels do not reflect changes that are made in the "Excel Options" dialog box in Office Excel 2007

Symptoms

You change the decimal separator or the thousand separator in the Excel Options dialog box in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. For example, you use a comma (,) as the decimal separator and you use a period (.) as the thousand separator. In this case, the separators that are displayed in chart labels do not reflect this change.

Resolution

To fix this problem, apply the following update:
978388 Description of the Office Excel 2007 hotfix package (Excel-x-none.msp, Graph-x-none.msp, Oart-x-none.msp, Oartconv-x-none.msp, Xlconv-x-none.msp): February 23, 2010
Then, restart Office Excel 2007. Additionally, you must restart Office Excel 2007 every time that you change the custom separators.
