A delegate cannot save three settings of Resource Settings for an Exchange Server 2007 resource mailbox in OWA

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, resource mailboxes are managed by the delegates because the resource mailboxes accounts are disabled by default. When a delegate configures the Resource Settings of a resource mailbox in Outlook Web Access (OWA), the configuration of the following three settings may not be saved:
  • Email messages
  • Attachments from meeting requests
  • Comments from meeting requests
You expect configuring the values for the three parameters by using OWA will be saved as normal, instead all three parameters retain the value set for Comments from meeting requests.
Note A delegate can successfully configure and save any of the three settings individually by using the Set-MailboxCalendarSettings command in Exchange Management Shell.
