The synchronization and the reconciliation between Microsoft Office Outlook and a BlackBerry mobile device fails when a mailbox is moved around between two Exchange Server 2007 servers

Symptoms

You deploy BlackBerry Enterprise Server of Research In Motion (RIM) in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment to enable users access to their mailboxes by using BlackBerry mobile devices. Among other things, BlackBerry Enterprise Server creates a BlackBerryHandheldInfo top folder that contains four subfolders:
- BlackBerryCalSyncState
- BlackBerryICSState
- BlackBerrymsgOnDeviceSearchFolder - Search folder (PR_FOLDER_TYPE=2) with Search State SEARCH_RUNNING | SEARCH_RECURSIVE
- BlackBerryRefIDSearchFolder1_7 Search folder (PR_FOLDER_TYPE=2) with Search State SEARCH_RUNNING | SEARCH_RECURSIVE
You move a BlackBerry enabled mailbox from one Exchange Server 2007 server to another Exchange Server 2007 server. In this case, when you move the mailbox back to the original Exchange Server 2007 server, the Search State of BlackBerry Search folder is stuck in the following Search State:

"SEARCH_RUNNING | SEARCH_REBUILD | SEARCH_RECURSIVE | SEARCH_MAYBE_STATIC"
Therefore, the synchronization and the reconciliation between Microsoft Office Outlook and the BlackBerry mobile device fails.
