Introduction

  • If category labels are in discontinuous ranges, the category (x) axis is not plotted correctly.
  • When you put shapes in rows or columns that are hidden, Office Excel 2007 returns the topmost or leftmost visible cell in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). However, the cell that is returned is the incorrect cell.
  • You open an Office Excel 2007 workbook. When you try to print-preview or print the workbook, Office Excel 2007 crashes.
  • When you insert an Excel chart object from a file into an Office application, only a part of the chart is displayed.
  • When you put the pointer over the fields in the PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard - Layout dialog box, Office Excel 2007 crashes.
  • When the Offset function is called for a range in compatibility mode, the Offset function does not accept large row parameters or large column parameters even if the range for the sheet is not opened in compatibility mode.
  • The Toggle Read Only command does not work for files that are opened from a network share.
  • If you change the column structure of a query table, the file is corrupted. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
    Excel found unreadable content in File Name. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.

Known issues

Symptoms
After you install this update, you may receive an error message that resembles the following when you try to save a shared workbook:
The file is no longer shared
This problem can occur if the file is saved to a network location and then configured as a shared workbook.


Resolution

Workaround

To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
  • To avoid this problem when you create a workbook that must be shared, turn on the shared workbook option before you save the workbook to a network share.
  • If the problem has already occurred, follow these steps:
    1. Open the shared workbook, and then save it to a local drive.
    2. Turn on the shared workbook option.
    3. Save the workbook on the network share.
