An attachment of a meeting request cannot be opened when you use a CDO application to accept a meeting request in Exchange Server 2007

Symptoms

In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, you use a Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) application that calls the GetAssociatedAppointment method to accept meeting requests. However, if a meeting request includes an embedded message as an attachment, the attachment is corrupt and inaccessible. Then, if you try to open the attachment by using a tool such as MFCMAPI, you receive the following error message:
"MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND"

Cause

This problem occurs because some properties of the embedded message are missed during a copy operation from the original meeting request to the new Calendar item. The copy operation is one of the operations that the Microsoft Exchange Information Store component performs for the GetAssociatedAppointment method.
