Some custom-sized pages are printed incorrectly if they have different dimensions and are printed consecutively from a computer running Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008

Consider the following scenario:

• You install a PostScript print driver for a printer on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008.
• The document that you want to print has multiple pages.
• Two consecutive pages in the document are custom-sized pages. Additionally, these custom-sized pages have different dimensions.
• In the printing preferences, you configure the printer to print on both sides of the page.
• You print the document.

In this scenario, the second custom-sized page is printed incorrectly. Specifically, the second custom-sized page is printed in the dimensions of the first custom-sized page. Therefore, some content on the second custom-sized page may be truncated.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. The English (United States) version of this hotfix installs files that have the attributes that are listed in the following tables. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The dates and the times for these files on your local computer are displayed in your local time together with your current daylight saving time (DST) bias. Additionally, the dates and the times may change when you perform certain operations on the files.

Windows Server 2003 file information notes

• In addition to the files that are listed in these tables, this hotfix also installs an associated security catalog file (KB975126.cat) that is signed with a Microsoft digital signature.

• Service Pack 1 is integrated into the original release of Windows Server 2008.
• The MANIFEST files (.manifest) and the MUM files (.mum) that is installed for each environment are listed separately. The MUM and the MANIFEST files, and the associated security catalog (.cat) files, are critical to maintaining the state of the updated component. The security catalog files (attributes not listed) are signed with a Microsoft digital signature.

The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
