You develop a Web page that uses the appendChild method. You open this Web page in Windows Internet Explorer 7 or in Windows Internet Explorer 8. However, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

To use this update, you must create a registry key. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start
    , type Regedit in the Search programs and files box, and then press ENTER.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl
  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
  4. Type FEATURE_ALLOW_APPENDCHILD_ON_FRONTIER_KB974322, and then press ENTER.
  5. Right-click FEATURE_ALLOW_APPENDCHILD_ON_FRONTIER_KB974322, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  6. Type Iexplore.exe, and then press ENTER.
  7. Right-click Iexplore.exe, and then click Modify.
  8. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
  9. Exit Registry Editor.
