An Arabic disclaimer or an Urdu disclaimer is displayed incorrectly in an Exchange Server 2007 environment

You configure a disclaimer on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server. However, if the disclaimer is in Arabic or in�Urdu, which has a right-to-left alignment, users experience one of the following problems:��

• For an Outlook Web Access user, the alignment of the disclaimer is left to right instead of right to left.
• For a�Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 user, the disclaimer is showed correctly. However, the disclaimer is�in disorder�if the user replies to the email message.
• For an Outlook 2007 user, the disclaimer is in disorder.

This problem occurs because of the way that Exchange Server 2007 displays the disclaimer to the client application. Exchange Server 2007 misses information about the reading direction and the client application can only display the disclaimer incorrectly.

To resolve this problem, download and install Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) from the following Microsoft website:Note�If the server has the Interim Updates for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed to address the Arabic disclaimer or the Urdu disclaimer problem, we strongly recommend that you follow these steps:

1. Delete�all disclaimer rules from the Exchange Server 2007 Hub Transport server.
2. Uninstall the Interim Updates for Exchange Server 2007 SP2.
3. Install Exchange Server 2007 SP3.
4. Set up the disclaimer again.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
