Update of Private status in a meeting request is not reflected in an Exchange Server 2007 environment

Symptoms

In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, when a meeting organizer changes a meeting request to Private, the change is not reflected in the attendees' appointment item.

Cause

The Private status is saved as PR_SENSITIVITY. This property is defined as one of the properties, which are copied from the meeting message only when a new calendar item is created in Exchange Server 2007.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
