When you install an Exchange Server 2007 update rollup by using a user account that has no Exchange Server Administrator permissions, the installation program fails

You install an update rollup for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 by using a user account that has no Exchange Server Administrator permissions on the Exchange server. However, the installation does not execute the UpdateOWA.ps1 file. After this occurs, Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) is no longer functional.

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:

After you install this update, Exchange Server 2007 checks whether you have Exchange Server Administrator permissions on your computer before Exchange Server 2007 runs the installation program. Therefore, If you try to install an update rollup and the permissions check fails, you see a dialog box that has the following message:

Note The installation process ends when you click OK in the dialog box.
