Error message when an Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 user tries to delete a calendar item in OWA: "Outlook Web Access has encountered a Web browsing error"

Symptoms

In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) environment, a user tries to delete a calendar item in Outlook Web Access (OWA). An error message pops up that resembles the following:
Outlook Web Access has encountered a Web browsing error.

Cause

This issue occurs because this calendar item was created by a Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) application. When this issue occurs, CDO sets the property of the calendar item. However, Exchange Server 2007 SP1 processes the calendar item by using the wrong logic.

Note This issue does not occur in Exchange Server 2003.
