When sending a digitally signed e-mail message from an Exchange Server 2003 mailbox user to an Exchange Server 2007 user in the same organization, the Exchange Server 2007 user will see a blank Body in the message (no text) when using Outlook Web Access (OWA) light or using OWA Premium when the S/MIME control is not installed.
There is no functionality for promoting the properties needed for clients that do not have or cannot use the S/MIME control client to render the message for clear signed attachments.
To work around this problem, install the S/MIME control for OWA on clients and ensure that users are using Internet Explorer 7 to access OWA.
This issue is resolved when all users in the organization are moved to Exchange Server 2007.
