Exchange Server 2007 Outlook Web Access still uses the backslash character even though the Web browser is configured to use Japanese as its language

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in an Exchange Server 2007 Outlook Web Access environment. You configure your Web browser to use Japanese as its language. However, in this scenario the yen character is displayed as the backslash character (\). For example, the Outlook Web Access logon page still shows "Domain\User" in Japanese and continues to use "\."

Cause

This problem occurs because the related MS UI Gothic and MS PGothic fonts are missing in Outlook Web Access.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2). You can access the following Microsoft Web site to download Exchange Server 2007 SP2:
