- A Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 user uses Exchange ActiveSync to synchronize calendar items on a mobile device.
- The Direct Push feature is enabled for the synchronization.
- This user accepts a recurring meeting request, and the recurring meeting is synchronized to the mobile device.
- This user accepts an update to an instance of this recurring meeting on the mobile devices.
In this scenario, the user may obtain duplicate calendar items for the updated instance on the mobile device, and these duplicate calendar items cause conflicts and are confusing to the user.
Note By default, the Direct Push feature is enabled on a Windows Mobile 5.0 device that has the Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) installed or on a Windows Mobile 6.x device (Windows Mobile 6.x devices do not use the Messaging and Security Feature Pack).
