Introduction

List of issues fixed

This hotfix fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you try to perform a gradual upgrade from an earlier version of Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services to SharePoint Server 2007, the upgrade fails. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

    Groupname contains invalid characters.

  • On the Traditional Chinese version of the Alert Me page, the Someone else changes a document option is displayed two times in the Send Alerts for These Changes section.
  • Consider the following scenario. You visit the following Web page to create a basic page:
    http://externalurl.domain.com/_layouts/bpcf.aspx
After you type a name for the page and then click Create, the page is created. Then, a Web Page Dialog box opens. However, the dialog box stops responding. Additionally, the dialog box tries to load the following incorrect page:
    http://externalurl.domain.com:8080/_layouts/htmledit.aspx

  • Internet Explorer displays Hebrew pages slower than the Mozilla Firefox browser. Internet Explorer takes about 9 seconds to load any Hebrew page.
