A user cannot access the mailbox by using a POP client or an IMAP client through Client Access Server in an Exchange 2007 environment

Symptoms

In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, a user cannot access the mailbox by using a POP client or an IMAP client through Client Access Server (CAS) if the msExchMailboxFolderSet attribute is set to 4294967295. The logon process is unsuccessful, and you receive one of the following error messages, depending on the specific client:

ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password

or
Error code: 0x800CCCDD

or
Error: 0x800CCC92
