This hotfix fixes the following issue:This hotfix fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Consider the following scenario. You use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to create an ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) data connection in Excel 2007. You save this file in an Excel 2007 file format and then close the file.

In this scenario, when you try to open the file again, you receive the following error message:
Excel found unreadable content in 'FileName'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.
If you click Yes in this error message, a Repairs to 'FileName' dialog box opens, and you receive error message that resembles the following:
Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content.
Removed Part: /xl/queryTables/queryTable1.xml part. (External data range)
Removed Records: External connections from /xl/connections.xml part (Data connection)
