Issue that this hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issue that is not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

In Microsoft Office Excel 2007, when you open a workbook that was last saved in an earlier version of Office Excel and that uses a localized Analysis ToolPak (ATP) function for a cell, "#NAME" will appear in the cell.

Additionally, in Office Excel 2003, when you open a workbook that was last saved in Excel 2007 and that uses a localized ATP function for a cell, "#NAME" will appear in the cell.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
