When you run the GET.CHART.ITEM macro function to retrieve the position of the pie chart series on a chart sheet in Office Excel 2007, incorrect chart point data is returned.

To resolve this problem, apply the hotfix package that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
Note Hotfix 950523 resolves only the issue in which you cannot retrieve the correct position of the pie chart series on a chart sheet. This hotfix does not resolve this same issue when it applies to worksheets or to combination charts. (The combination chart contains more than one chart series type.)

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
