Symptoms

Cause

This behavior occurs because the ImageList_GetIconSize function retrieves the icon size in the IImageList interface. The ImageList_GetIconSize function does not return the 256 x 256 icon size from the layered image list.

The ImageList_GetIconSize function retrieves the dimensions of the images in an image list. All the images in an image list have the same dimensions.

Status

This behavior is by design.
