Unexpected modified instances of a recurring meeting may appear when you use Entourage to access a calendar on a computer that is running Exchange Server 2007

Symptoms

You use Microsoft Entourage to access a calendar on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. After you schedule a recurring meeting, and then you modify some instances of this recurring meeting, some unexpected modified instances may appear in Entourage.

Cause

In specific scenarios, Exchange Server 2007 returns an iCal representation of the meeting series that includes some extra instances.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1.
