Introduction

This article describes the October 2011 release of the following Microsoft products:
  • Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) 1.2.1
  • Collaboration Data Objects, version 1.2.1
Note Starting with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, the MAPI client libraries and CDO 1.2.1 are not provided as a part of the base Exchange 2007 product installation. However, your applications may require the functionality that these components provide. Microsoft Exchange MAPI and CDO 1.2.1 provide access to the APIs that you can use to access the contents of MAPI stores.
