Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install security update 916281 for Windows Internet Explorer.
  • You use Internet Explorer to browse a Web page that contains a <meta http-equiv="REFRESH"> tag.
    For example: <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0;URL=redirect.htm">
In this scenario, Internet Explorer crashes and goes into an endless loop. Additionally, a clicking sound may be repeated continuously.
