Cause

This issue occurs when you are assigned the "Send as" permission for a public folder. If you send an e-mail message from your mailbox, the system message that is returned indicates that your e-mail message was sent from the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) address of the public folder. However, if you send an e-mail message from the public folder, the system message is deleted before it is returned to the public folder.

Workaround

To work around this issue, assign yourself the "Send on behalf" permission for the public folder instead of the "Send as" permission. If you are assigned the "Send on behalf" permission for the public folder, any system messages are delivered to your mailbox.
