More information

This hotfix does not completely resolve the issue. The default elements of the feeds, favorites, and links features are created even after you remove them when the IEAK package is created. This hotfix only keeps the default elements from being re-created through auto-configuration or through branding.

You have to manually remove the default elements that are created during the installation of the IEAK package on a per-user basis. Or, you can remove them by using a script. After the default elements are removed, the hotfix and the corresponding registry keys keep them from being re-created.

A complete fix for this issue is scheduled to be included with the next version of the IEAK.
