Focus is not set to the Web page if you minimize the browser window and then maximize it from the taskbar in Internet Explorer 7

Symptoms

In Windows Internet Explorer 7, if you minimize the browser window and then maximize it from the task bar, the focus is not set to its previous location on the Web page. Instead, the focus is set to the address bar.

Additionally, the following events do not occur on the Web page when you maximize the window:
  • Document.body.onblur
  • Window.onblur
  • Document.body.onfocus
  • Window.onfocus
Note This problem does not occur in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.

Security update information

To resolve this problem, install the most current cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.
