The body of a read receipt message displays the read date in an incorrect format for a mailbox that is hosted in Exchange 2007

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • A user has a mailbox that is hosted in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
  • On the client computer, the locale setting is not English (United States). For example, the locale setting is English (Australia). This locale has a date format of DD/MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY.
  • The user sends an e-mail message that requires a read receipt.
When the user receives the read receipt message from the recipient, the body of the read receipt message displays the read date in the MM/DD/YYYY format instead of in the DD/MM/YYYY format. This behavior may confuse e-mail senders.
