Error message when the sender or the receiver of a meeting request has a double-byte character set (DBCS) display name in Exchange Server 2007: "The requested property was not found"

Consider the following scenario. A user develops an application to accept a meeting request by using Collaboration Data Objects for Exchange 2000 Server (CDOEX) on a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

In this scenario, when the sender or the receiver of the meeting request has a double-byte character set (DBCS) display name, the application returns the following error message:

This problem occurs because the DBCS characters cannot be included in the display name property of the attendee in the CDO.Appointment class. Therefore, the CDO.Appointment.Accept method fails in Exchange Server 2007.
