A user who does not have "Send As" rights can successfully send a meeting request from a mailbox in Exchange 2007

Consider the following scenario:

�	You have a mailbox such as Mailbox-A in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
�	You have a user such as User-B.
�	User-B has access to Mailbox-A. However, User-B does not have "Send As" rights for the user who owns Mailbox-A.

In this scenario, when User-B logs on to Mailbox-A, User-B cannot send an e-mail message as expected. However, User-B can still send a meeting request successfully.

You expect User-B to receive an error message when User-B tries to send the meeting request from this mailbox because User-B does not have "Send As" rights for the user who owns this mailbox.

This behavior occurs because the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service does not perform "Send As" verification for operations that involve calendaring items.

This behavior is by design.

This behavior is intended to enhance resource sharing scenarios such as the sharing of a conference room resource. For example, consider the following scenario:

�	You have a conference room resource.
�	You have an administrative assistant who handles this resource.

In this scenario, the administrative assistant must send meeting requests as this resource to other recipients. Also, the recipient replies must return to the conference room resource and not to the administrative assistant. This behavior enables the resource to be booked.
