You cannot configure Integrated Windows (NTLM) authentication on a Send connector in Exchange 2007

Symptoms

When you configure an SMTP Send connector in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you cannot locate an option to configure Integrated Windows (NTLM) authentication. Therefore, you may be unable to configure the authentication method that you want to use for the Send connector.

Cause

This issue occurs because Exchange 2007 does not currently support Integrated Windows authentication for use with Send connectors.
