Symptoms

You try to print a workbook that contains a shape that overlaps a page break or a print area of the page by using Microsoft Office Excel 2007. However, you find that the parts of the shape that exist outside the page break or the print area are not printed.

Cause

This behavior occurs because of the new clipping behavior for OfficeArt shapes in Excel 2007. In Excel 2007, any part of a shape that extends beyond the print area of the page is not printed.

Note The print area of the page differs from the page boundaries or page margins.

Workaround

To work around this behavior, relocate the shape within the print area of the page, or extend the print area of the page to compensate for the shape.
